MCC OnDemand, our advanced reporting service, provides all the analysis reports your facility will ever need. Will I have control over my billing? How can I check the status of my account?
Absolutely! Our OnDemand reports offer complete transparency into your entire account. We encourage our customers to view their data on a daily basis, using secure online access via the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We want you to see exactly how we are doing!
Is MCC HIPAA compliant?
We are 100% HIPAA compliant; MCC meets the 7 elements of an effective compliance program of the OIG (Office of the Inspector General), including internal auditing and monitoring.
Is my information safe?
We perform automatic, daily backups of your data. You may request a copy on disc at any time. Your information is actually more secure in our off-site fire and disaster-proof facility than in your office.
How do you charge for your services?
Our services are completely turn-key, with everything included. Our fees are based on a percentage of the total revenue collected. We don’t get paid until you do! We encourage you to compare our fees with other companies; MCC is lower than the national average. There are no set up fees or extra charges for any of our services, just a low monthly service fee for the life of the contract. According to the AMA, the average cost to bill internally can be as high as 10%; MCC can actually save your facility thousands of dollars annually.
How does outsourcing with MCC save us money?
MCC reduces your overhead and eliminates most of the paperwork done in the office, saving your staff hours of time. We simply do a much more efficient job of coding, billing and collecting. Who do our patients call if they have a billing question?
Ensuring patient satisfaction is a high priority. Patients can call our Help Desk via a toll free number between the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Our courteous customer service representatives make every effort to resolve issues with the first call and expedite a settlement.
What if my office needs support?
Our customers have access to a secure, online portal where they receive personalized information, such as alerts for reviews or compliance information. You can also call our Help Desk, where a knowledgeable professional is always ready to assist you. The call is logged and your Account Manager follows up, ensuring you receive timely, personalized service.
Do I need to upgrade any software or hardware?
No, there’s no software or hardware to buy and maintain. All you need is an Internet connection. We do all the work for you; our office utilizes state of the art technology and powerful servers to code, bill, track denials, ensure collections, create reports and manage your account. You simply access your information via the web.
How Often Do You Submit Claims for Payment?
We submit all claims within 24 hours, 5 days a week. The only exception to this is holidays and we will notify your office in advance of the days we will be closed.
How are Claims Submitted?
About 97% of claims are filed electronically with the insurance companies. For companies that do not receive claims electronically, we use HCFA forms for claims submission. Most insurance companies also respond electronically through Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), which informs MCC and your office of payments.
Where are Payments Sent?
All checks and EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) are sent directly to your office. Since most insurance companies offer Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), electronic versions of the EOBs, and electronic funds transfer (EFT), physicians can receive electronic EOBs and payments far quicker than the standard paper delivery. For physical copies, your office keeps the checks and sends us scanned copies of the EOBs, so that we can perform effective follow-up.
What Types of Providers Do you Serve?
We are capable of handling any medical specialty. We provide medical billing services for numerous medical specialties, as well as large facilities such as CORFs, CMHCs, IDT’s and PHOs.
How do I get started?
Transitioning to our services is easy; there’s no disruption of your office routine or your billing cycle. Set up usually takes 3-7 days for most facilities. We can give you a more accurate estimate after reviewing your individual practice.
Since we serve healthcare facilities nationwide, we have the ability to remotely access your current database by networking our software with your office. Alternatively, your information may be scanned or faxed to us. We have your office transfer batches of patient charge slips, superbills, EOB's, correspondence or insurance cards, IDs, and forms to us by hardcopy or electronically. Then we import your data into our document imaging system. These electronic files maximize efficiency for our office and our customers. All information can be viewed by accessing the client portal of MCC’s web site at any time.
